Drone delivery hubs go to the Planning Commission on Wednesday, October 28. A public hearing follows November 18, and council decides by April 2027. City of Redmond
The Evergreen Middle School rebuild is paused at 50% design for a district review. Lake Washington School District is weighing the project, planned to open in 2031, within its boundary and enrollment realignment, and says the review has no predetermined outcome. LWSD
A draft stormwater plan for the city is due out in November. It covers how Redmond moves over 11 billion gallons of rain a year through ponds and pipes to its streams, from pollution prevention to fish-barrier removal. The city is taking comments now. Let's Connect Redmond

The market in 60 seconds
Across city of Redmond listings in ZIPs 98052 and 98053, the median home sold for $1.35M over the last 30 days (67 closings; single-family alone $1.475M). The median home took 66 days from listing to closing, and there are 4.6 months of inventory on the market.
Against last week's count, the median is up from $1.30M, homes took a little longer (61 days last week), and inventory rose from 4.1 months, with fewer closings in the window (67, down from 76) and active listings flat at 311. The two 30-day windows share most of their sales, so one week's move says little about direction. Single-family homes sit at 4.2 months, and 6% of homes closed above asking, down from 9%. Under three months favors sellers and above six favors buyers, so Redmond stays in balanced territory.
One useful thing: leaves that don't fit the cart
Recology now collects Redmond's compost and yard waste. When the leaves outgrow the cart, set the extra beside it in kraft paper yard-waste bags or tied bundles, never plastic bags. Expecting a big pile? Call Recology first at 425-552-1008. City of Redmond FAQ
